I have always wondered what kind of person would hire a life coach and based on what credentials? Life coaches seem to be the newest form of support for those seeking more direction in their lives. I pose these 2 simple questions, who and why pay for a life coach?
Why would one hire a life coach who has yet to achieve success in their own lives? I see so many people promote themselves as Life Coaches and as I objectively evaluate the so-called “Life Coach,” I can’t understand why someone would follow advice from another who is 1 step away from being bankrupt (emotionally, or financially) themselves. What kind of coaching can a person possibly give that would be of any value to another if they are barely able to make ends meet? It would be more intelligent to learn from someone who has noticeably achieved success, in whatever way that means to you.
Why not talk with your friends, parents, or any other elder for free! Being a struggling Life Coach is like being an obese Personal Trainer, useless! And when did we start needing to be coached through life? No one has the answers to life so it’s really the blind leading the blind. No other person can walk in your shoes and make choices for you. You are the only one who can feel if something makes sense to you. Stop giving your power away to others, Doctors included. If you do decide you really want to spend your hard-earned money on a Life Coach, please choose someone who has achieved what you aspire to achieve and don’t settle on anyone else. Invest your time, brain, and money wisely because cheap advice is very costly.
